We love luxury vinyl flooring, and you will too

Luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) is a beautiful, affordable alternative to wood, stone, or tile floors. It’s so realistic; even the flooring experts sometimes have trouble telling the difference. As functional as it is beautiful, it’s also 100% waterproof, ultra-durable, low maintenance, and fast and uncomplicated to install. Read further to find out why we recommend it so highly.

Affordable style

Inspired by nature, images are taken with 3D photography and are clear, accurate, and vibrant with knots, grains, wormholes and swirls, and veining variations. You’ll also see bold colors, lively patterns, textures, and matte, gloss, and high gloss finishes. These floors have micro beveling and are deeply embossed to add depth, dimension, and popular surfaces such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed.

Everyone loves this design option: the material can be cut into strips and mounted on boards to mimic hardwood planks, called vinyl plank flooring. It can also be cut into square, groutable pieces to echo stone and tile, called LVT Flooring. Keep in mind that LVF is a thicker vinyl, so yours should be 8-mm minimum. If, however, you select plank, you may want to go as high as 10-mm or 12-mm to get an authentic hardwood feeling.

High durability

All vinyl is durable, but LVF is layered, with a top clear melamine coating at the top. This is called the wear layer, and it protects the floor from scratches and scuffs and even helps with the waterproofing by keeping spills at the top just waiting to be wiped off. Thicker is better, and try for a wear-layer of at least 12 mil.

This vinyl is also low maintenance. Sweep daily and clean deeply every week using a well-wrung mop and a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Avoid wax, shine-promoting ones as they damage the finish and dull the floor. Installation can be a fast and uncomplicated floating floor where the pieces click together, mat, and then hover over the floor with no nails or glue needed.

Our quality and craftsman-like installations will make your luxury vinyl flooring be the jewel crown of your home.
